couple of very vaguely atompunk style robots, CR-15 and CR-02
CR-15 is the newer model, and technically younger. They’re ridiculously chipper and like to say “golly” alot. their AI is more advanced though sometimes it’s questionable. dumb nerd. they can display whatever on their dumb screen face, so they can emote pretty easily. They like people to call them Cris, since that’s what they think CR-15 is supposed to spell for some reason. they are far too trusting of strangers and will easily comply with most commands aslong as there is no immediate harm they can see.
CR-02 is a much earlier model with simpler AI. They don’t have as much personality as their later counterpart, or atleast it’s not evident. they have two sets of coding, a simple AI that obeys oral commands and wanders about and one that makes them completely disregard or do the exact opposite of all commands given. it will also occasionally snap it’s claws at people and try to immitate a 50’s greaser. it was an attempt at giving them a rebellious personality. it failed. so their creator had to wait until they refused to charge and were forced to power down to change them back to default. then they scrapped the model entirely and gave it another try with the CR-03 model which also ultimately had to be scrapped.
CR-02 and CR-15 are the only surviving models of the CR line. CR-15 was the last to be made and wasn’t scrapped before their creator was ever so tragically killed and all the crates containing the bots had been confiscated. CR-15 was shoved into their box without being powered down properly, and woke up soon after being confiscated. they wandered the area where the crates were stored staring at their siblings. the only one that wasn’t in too bad a state of disrepair was CR-02.all the internal workings were fine, it was just the AI itself that was alittle off. they were scrapped since to get the AI out of the body would mean having it up and awake and putting the bot into a compliant mode would be near impossible so the robot body was rendered useless
Cris and their older sibling now wander about together trying to find adventure like in the sci-fi magazines Cris loves so much.
