Description
By Raphael Groth; 18 January 1943.Earlier today the Aerahwut Warship, KM. Lichewerp exploded off the coast of the Nordenian Northern front. The number of deaths is estimated at about 51, and the number wounded is about 150. The Southern Aerahwut Government believes that there is a connection with this sudden attack with the attack that occurred in 1941 on the Congzimo Strait. Aerahwut Admiral Petrus Hackenholt confirmed this was the act of a submarine.
In a Press Statement earlier today Petrus Hackenholt said, "... It is confirmed that this attack wasn't an engine failure, it was a submarine attack, many crewmen said they saw at least three explosions in consecutive order hit the stricken Battleship. We expect these attacks on Aerahwut ships are connected to the Battle of the Congzimo Strait where over 7,000 Aerahwut soldiers died when an unknown enemy with no mercy attacked us, we originally blamed the Congzimo, but this time we think it is someone else. We have a few in mind we think it could be, but for now, it is still under investigation.
The Aerahwut fleet was protecting some transport vessels traveling north to Nordenia to Confederated traders. The reason for such a large protection fleet is still unknown but Aerah has had problems with pirates taking over or hijacking rigs in the past.
More information will come out as soon as more is released.
