Hedgepin: Very timid and alert to sound, they prefer dense pine forests where they can blend in with fallen needles. If threatened they can roll up into a spiny ball. Wounds caused from the spines will leave a chilling sensation. They shed their needles once a year and are venerable while the new ones grow in.Firpine: They will shoot their quills at any threat that ventures too close. Their large claws are used to dig through frozen dirt to get at prey hiding underneath. During the spring small red berries grow among it's spines. Ancient warriors would use discarded quills to make tools and weaponry.
Coniferal: Their large needle-like fur is ice cold to the touch. Getting scratched by one will leave icy patches on the wound. Their acute sense of smell lets them find prey hidden away in the tundra. Large powerful legs let it plow through snow drifts with ease. It can regrow launched needles as quickly, allowing it to wear down larger prey with a barrage of icy needles while in pursuit.
Embat: They prefer tight warm spaces to roost. They feast of the fruit of pepper plants, storing the seeds in a special organ. The seeds aid in the production of fire. It's fur is always warm. It is not adept at flying and often stumbles about in the air as a result.
Charccubus: They siphon heat from other creatures to keep warm. During the cold season mating pairs will wrap each other up in their wings and share their warmth overnight. They skewer collected food on their tail as they patrol the night, bringing the spoils homw to eat at sunrise. Their hearing is able to pick up a heartbeat from a mile away.
Wyburn: They prefer solitary lives on top of volcanic peaks. They bask in the morning sub with their wings stretched out. Their fire is made by secreting a special fluid that ignites in contact with the air. It has a gland on its tail that can secrete this fluid too. They can fly for weeks at a time as long as they can remain heated up.
Elesplay - Their mothers apply wet clay to their head several times a day to help keep it hydrated. It can spray water with the force of a fire hose. Very playful, they often spray the ground, soaking it, so they can run and slide in the mud.
Elespout - They've developed an armor made up of clay. The youngsters like to let it dry out so they can pretend they have body armor like their parents, but the dutiful adults keep their armor soft and wet, so it grows with them. Their tails produce water and is used to keep the armor wet in hard to reach places.
Deltaphant - Their clay has hardened into solid stone and cannot be turned back into mud. Their stone crusted feet can crush a tank with ease. Their water spout can slice a battle ship in half. They are very social and will form families with those close to them. They protect their family with aggressive tusk and tackle attacks.
