how do I actually use one of them?

if you use a mac you can use on format .png or icns for icons on your desktop
if you have PC use it with a dock for example " rklauncher, Avedesk, objectdock, etc "

but how do I get it to work on my dock? I use a mac, but, I'm just not sure how to switch my current finder icon with the colored one I downloaded from your file

Shouldn't they be vector so you can rezise them in the menu..

The "dock"?
Maybe i got it wrong but if theese are made for mac, the dock is resizeable.
What formate are they?

Dock icons, even in the default Mac System, are not vector at all. They are all either 128px or 256px raster images with transparency support. Just like any windows dock icons. I don't think he made them specifically for macs, but for mac emulation on PCs. They can be, however, converted to the default ".icns" format.

In the future I heard that apple will implement actual vector icons for the dock and the rest of the system. So your thought isn't too far fetched at all.
