The final artwork for Apatura! He is a Rainwing/Silkwing hybrid from the Wings of Fire universe, and I received his original design as a gift from That-Repliqueen-Kyo, and I have his original creator listed as finleyfin on Toyhouse

Apatura is a hybrid RainWing/SilkWing. As a result, his scales can change colors, but they are limited to only cool colors, pinks, and neutral colors. He is also incapable of shifting his scales to be black. He does not possess the venom of RainWings, but instead has the ability to spin silk that has similar properties. His body is more lithe and lean like that of a RainWing, but his scale patterning more closely resembles that of a SilkWing.
Apatura did not have to pupate his pair of large wings, as those are more similar to the wings of a RainWing. However his secondary pair of wings did require cocooning, and it is more similar to that of a SilkWing.
The name Apatura comes from the lesser purple emperor butterfly, a butterfly known for slightly color changing wings.

Apatura was born during a dangerous time in the world, when hybrid dragons are considered dangerous and often hunted down. As a result, he lives a life of secrecy, doing his best to hide in a rarely visited section of the rainforest. He has excellent control over his venom webbing, and is not afraid to use it to defend himself.
