Description
Within a span of a few months, I've been longing to create a story that involves with Ancient Egypt, Egyptian mythologies and its ancient cultures and done my version with this. I present to you The Son of Satis, it's a story about Tamil, a demigod living in a modern world, going against all obstacles that goes in his way, even helping for those who are in need against the mischievous Egyptian god of Chaos, Set. This project of mine is still under progress and I will definitely make some rough changes in the future.

I will list and describe the drawings in numerical order:
1) Khnum: Source God of the Nile River, a husband to Satis, and a supporting father to both his oldest daughter Anukis, and his youngest step-son Tamil. He is helpful, eccentric and unique with his mind. He is known to be a leading role of the Elephantine triad that himself, Satis and Anukis are involved with agriculture, especially water. He is known for blessing future-mothers by making human babies out from clay and spring into life!
2) Tamil: The main protagonist and literally the son of Satis as the title says. A calm, humble hero who is fair-minded of what is just. This social demigod has lived over more than five-to-six thousand years since the Middle Ages of Ancient Egypt and witnessed the fall of it from the Greeks and Romans. His desire to live alongside with his people (the people) has given him the chance to protect those who needed to be protected and to experience what is like to be one of them. As a young brother, he is the mature sibling of the family than with Anukis, and enjoys to socialize with his family and relatives by visiting them and sharing his stories to the mighty deities.
3) Satis: A Nubian/Egyptian war goddess of the hunt and a loving wife of Khnum and the mother of Tamil. Before affianced with Khnum in the ancient times, she once loved a general, and a brother to the pharaoh and disguised herself as a mortal woman to spend time with him and promised to be together as a family until a certain war has taken his very life before the young hero was born.. After the death of her first husband, she became stoic, bland and honorable; those three words has defined her to who she is and as a mother, she had done her very best to raise her son and offer him with her affection and support.
4) Ra: One of the most important gods of the entire Egyptian Pantheon. He is the old, powerful bird god of the sun and travels on the edges of space to bring the light of day. He has lived as long as time and every night, he endured victorious against the giant snake from space Apophis who desires to consume Ra and the sun and bring forth the eternal darkness on earth. Short-tempered, impulsive, and aggressive, he also runs the whole utopia filled with Egyptian deities like a mayor or something! He is not to be messed with unless you'd like to spend a few seconds to be burned alive if next to him. He also used his magic to create Sekhmet, Bast, Hathor and Wenet.(I will draw her soon)
5) Thoth: The Egyptian god of knowledge and writing. Known to be involved in many legends in Egyptian mythology, he is an ibis god who records everything and organizes all information of the universe. He is also the teacher of his, the enlightened children of gods like Tamil. Disciplined, know-it-all, traditional, and a professional. The fish-loving god is presented as the nerdiest god known to the universe and rant over why a lot of theories are wrong.
6) Set: The Egyptian god of mischief, storms and murderer of his brother Osiris. He is completely secretive and foreign to, yes no god would want to spend a day with a Set, but little did they know that this ‘bad god’ accompanies with Ra along with others to help fight against the treacherous snake thus completely makes him an Anti-Villain. Legends say that he joins with Ra to literally make up an awful storms and twisters to the unfortunate humans, or bless them with the rain to fight against a drought. He is one of the most complex characters in the project so far.
7) Anukis: As the daughter of Khnum and Satis, and oldest sister to Tamil, she’s the goddess of the Nile’s inundation and lust. In festivals, people throw gold, gems, flowers and honorable objects to praise her for bringing life-bringing waters! Passionate, flirtatious and resourceful. She brings the life of the party along with those associated with her like Hathor, Bast and more.
8) This weapon is known as the Khopesh, or a sickle. This weapon belongs to Tamil and it’s considered to be one of the most iconic weapons in ancient Egyptian warfare. His Khopesh is specifically created for many things, to throw off a person by the hook(a) on the curved area(b) to drag down a shield and stab them to an area where it is open, and the curved weapon can also be used for both agricultural and also making a deathly swing to a person’s neck or vitals and difficult for the victim to recover. At the end of the weapon, there is a large gazelle with personal designs that Tamil decorated to remember his past.
9) Aniron Magdy: He is the biological father of Tamil and commander of the Pharaoh’s army. None in recorded history has ever caught one information but only a handful remembers him at heart. He is the first husband of Satis and unfortunately met his end when another enemy commander had smitten him. Humble, compassionate and brave were his characteristics that Satis ever loved him for but now resting forever in the fields of Egypt.
10) Horus: One of the most significant deities in the Egyptian Pantheon, Horus is the sky god of protecting Egypt and the Pharaoh, known to be the biggest hero. His brawn complexion and personality has made him become extremely social and gains power from his followers and all who praised for him. Confident, arrogant and self-centered. He had everything a hero could dream up until the end of Egypt in 30 BC. In modern times where he decided to live, he discreet himself from the world and became the lost wanderer.
11) Last but not least, Sobek. Sobek is the Egyptian god of the Nile, but in a more destructive and animalistic way than his calm comrade, Khnum. He is also the god of crocodiles due to their ferocious characteristics and most fearsome to humans. Known to be primitive, moody and violent, for those know closest to him like Khnum, Ptah(I will make him soon) and Ra: He’s known to try his best to void himself to eat people, and make a difference by befriending them.
Let me know if you have any further questions about Son of Satis as well as the characters if you’d like!
