Casino Grayleaf and her party dared to brave confronting Skunk and succeeded in defeating her. Victory, however, came at a price, for Skunk had placed a curse upon Casino that she could not hope to break. What Casino did not know was that Skunk was not as cruel and evil as she had seemed, and had attempted to remove the curse, only to be killed before she was able to do so.

Fortunately, Skunk was a goddess, and so it was that Casino took her to a prison for divine beings, the Divine Sanctuary, with the intention of coming back once Skunk had regenerated and forcing her to free her from the curse. This goal would prove to be easily attained, as a remorseful Skunk was grateful to see her old foe and was happy to oblige.
