As a child, Jasper's father Ralph sold him into slavery. After years of suffering, the latent power of his bloodline awakened in him. Wielding a bat, Jasper was consumed by a violent rage, crushing every last one of the slavers before escaping at last.

The horrors Jasper had experienced had left him broken. Joining the Spade Gang, he became a criminal that lived only to find joy in the misery of others.

When Jasper became an inmate of the Divine Sanctuary, he discovered a natural talent for playing baseball.

During the Ruffian War, he swung his bat and struck the Joker of Broken Spades in the face with full force, shattering her mask and revealing her true identity. To Jasper's horror, the mysterious jester was Jessie Guest, an older sister he never knew of, as she was sent away when Jasper was just a baby. Jasper attempted to reason with her, but to no avail, as Jessie's sanity was too far gone.

Jasper is a legendary baseball player, and the greatest batter Galmiun has ever known. Unfortunately, professional leagues only permit mortals, though Jasper doesn't mind. He doesn't need the money, and it wouldn't be fun if he had to take it seriously.
