One of the ideas I crafted for the Macro March 2021, but applied in drawing late, a take on LorneLyon 's dare for a challenge .

Candidate 04: Timothy Soro , also known as Hypercore
Some unknown time later, the Southeast Asian countries had been dragged into the war with its northern neighbor, given the former helping the island of Taiwan. As one nuke reached the northern areas of Vietnam, the governments of India and Japan quickly resorted to fire IMP rockets to prevent more missiles from attacking the region, even if it risked getting attacked by the northern country itself. Russia was also dragged into this, but ill-prepared to respond, due to a couple of militias attacking Vladivostok, and the Russian government had already sent two giant weapons from Kazakhstan to deal with that threat.

The northern country, catching a sight on those two giants in Vladivostok, released its own EMP rockets across East and Southeast Asia, frying up electronic-based units and rendering most of the armies and navies useless. Japan, already affected by both the EMP attacks and other giant issues, was forced to send a giant weapon of its own down to Taiwan, while on its way destroying any navy unit trying to oppose it.

The island of Guam was also affected by the EMP attack, but its military managed to report the situation to the mainland US via Morse code. As the Pentagon received the message from Guam, spies from the northern country also received the same, prompting a nuclear explosive retaliation against the lone island just two days later without even a warning. Realizing how heavier the Taiwan situation had become, the US government was forced to make a giant weapon by itself, but how could they do that?

Few months after his own rampage somewhere in the Washington state, Timothy Soro (also known to have a super persona named 'Hypercore') was already serving his prison time, with the law still struggling to decide what to do with him, given how dangerous he had become, even if beyond his control. The former president, residing in Florida, had learned both that and the situation in East Asia, so he flew to the city of Olympia to arrange for Timothy's one-year parole, in exchange of helping Southeast Asia fight back its northern neighbor. Timothy firmly agreed, given that his home country was also attacked.

As he rode a military plane bound for Manila, Timothy was given a can of soda and a command to drink it once he was about to step out of a plane, much to his confusion. Once the plane reached Manila, the entire metro region was already under invasion by the northern country, prompting the plane operator to order Timothy to jump off the plane without a parachute, again to his confusion. The operator however insisted that Timothy would end up fine once he followed the given command. Although unsure what was with the command literally written on the soda can, he opted to drink it entirely and let luck decide on his fate, even though he was not superstitious.

Timothy Soro had been wearing his prison jumpsuit and a wireless earphone, and he just got off the plane. He was screaming and falling down to the city, he began to experience effects from the drink. His muscles started to bulge bigger, his hands and feet were growing heavy, and he could feel his head following suit. The series of stomach aches, stings and drowsiness had left him weak and unable to think, right before he fell straight into the water. For few seconds, he began growing bigger, outgrowing his jumpsuit and emitting bolts from his earphone down to his body. Finding himself a giant, flashing naked in front of Manila Bay, Timothy roared in rage, scaring everyone else there.

Filipino soldiers and citizens were immediately informed that the US military had sent a giant to help them protect Manila, but the message only left them in shock as they never expected the American army to give out something beyond bizarre and out of place. The invaders on the other hand pressed forward and focused on Timothy, having already learned about the giants' presense. Timothy found him under attack by invaders both land, air and sea, but as he stepped back, he accidentally tipped off the nearby aircraft carrier, sweeping away the remaining jet fighters into the bay. Timothy picked it up and was not amused to see it belonging to the northern country. He quickly picked up a helicopter stucked onto the carrier and threw it to eight fighters shooting at him, only able to destroy two in thrown collision.

However Timothy was still under attack and was forced to go berserk on his perpetrators, but then took a glimpse on three people still standing on the baywalk. Briefly recognizing them to be his friends, he tapped on his wireless earphones for its radiating waves to touch them. His three friends had transformed into his big, hunky minions who quickly responded by attacking nearby invaders. Timothy on the other hand noticed a few officers hiding inside the bridge (the nautical version of a cockpit) of the carrier, and took one of his minions to bring those officers down to the baywalk.

After an hour, the invasion was somehow stopped. With many invaders either dead, fleeing or captured, Filipinos rejoiced in victory and headed off to one undamaged mall for further discussions of repairing the city and rebuilding its defenses. Timothy and his minions decided to remain at the baywalk for the while to deal with the captured officers, as well as many invaders held captive. Realizing how many soldiers he had under his watch, he turned left, as if he started looking at the northern country. 'Perhaps starting another century of humiliation? Or should I say a century of humility?'
