This image is an example of an Animated PNG file. You probably know about the Animated GIF format already. Well, Animated PNG is like that, except it has better compression and does NOT restrict the number of colors to 256. The only web browser that DOES NOT support this format is Internet Explorer.

IMHO, people must stop using Animated GIF and move on to Animated PNG.
