"I went home. It was empty, at first. Then she was here. She stared at me when I said I came back. She didn't look surprised, or happy, or anything. Maybe she nodded, I didn't notice. I think she frowned a little. She put off her coat and started babbling about her life, her friends, the party she was attending tonight. She didn't ran at me, she didn't hug me, she didn't even kiss me on the cheek. She didn't care, in the slightest. "

He looked so hurt, and almost fragile. She had always known he was sensitive, as much as he was strong. She felt his pain: he looked like a broken toy. Gently, she wrapped her arms around him and put her cheek again the soft blond hairs. He was shivering a little, tired by the situation. He never talked about it.

"I can hug you and give you a kiss, if you want to," and she did so, kissing his forehead, soft as a feather.

Tom is talking about his mother, here. He... kind of ran away from his home for some months, years... And decided to give it a try again. But I think his mother just gave up at one point. Sort of complicated.

Even if they had a difficult relationship in the beginning, Crystal and Tom are very supportives of each other, when needed. Somehow, they accepts to show each others their weak spots while they try harder to hide it for others people they want to protect. Again, they accept each other as equals.

I think Tom finds a feminine presence in Crys he maybe lacks. Not that he sees her a a mother, good lord. But... yeah. Some comfort, that's all, here.

I don't know. Just a writing I did this afternoon and wanted to put a drawing on it. Not exactly as good as I'd wish too but oh well.
