You probably clicked on this after catching a glimpse of the title, huh? So yeah, next member of my Moon champion team is a Mandibuzz named TheThing. And yes, there's a backstory there. Y'see, TheThing also came from B/W, my first Pokemon game, so I had no idea Pokemon could spawn on Victory Road. Not knowing this, I got cocky and charged through the tall grass. Of course a Vullaby leaps out at my and my instant reaction was "woah, it's a thing" and my continued thought process became "I gotta catch the thing", so of course when I caught her I had been referring to her as the thing for so long I just threw TheThing into the nickname slot.
