Search "anthro" and find how many webcam screenshots and fully human drawings you'll find. You'll see just how thick humans can be.

Less than you'd think. Interact with 30,000 per day for five months straight. If you manage to do that, I'll take your word higher than my experience.

The smaller children were easier to handle than the taller children (or the "adults," if you want to use a more common description of them). Do you see though that what I say comes from experiences a bit beyond the extent of most people?

You basicly said 'this isnt art, this piece is shit' to *apparently* help them improve there work. Thats not being helpful. its being a Tosser. This is photomanipulation as the artist has edited a picture of one of there personal idols and created something which (compared to your work) is beautiful. So maybe this kind of art isnt your personal taste, if thats the case i think you should go have a lie down and think about how insignifican your life is and how you could fix yourself in general so that your no longer a childish troll. Just don't reply me, that way you can think to yourself 'Hey, i can change'
I pity you.

I have no time for you and your petty little argument.
Your a genuinly horrible person and i give up.
I was merely trying to show you all art is brilliant in its own way, i thought you of all people would of realized this due to the fact that you vary your art greatly.
I don't understand you or your motives and to be perfectly honest i don't want to understand.
I wish you luck in achieving your goal, whatever that may be.

Truly, not all art is intelligent. In fact, from my experience, I'd say a good third of "art" I've seen is nonsense, perfectly portrayed by an example of "art deification" by Duchamp's urinal submission: [link]
There was actually nothing of artistic effort in the piece except to turn a urinal up-side down. It was done for the sole purpose of mocking art, and yet it was submitted and accepted in a show as a work of art.

Jakoo3 In reply to OddFacade [2011-01-19 23:10:38 +0000 UTC]
But thats just it, Art doesnt need to be intelligent niether does it need effort. It just needs to touch the very soul of a single person and thats what makes it art. So the artist was mocking art with the whole urinal thing, it doesnt matter. All that matters is that someone noticed it and thought 'that reminds me of..' or 'wow thats so...' people realize this in there own unique way.
Look at SkyHawc's piece, it resembles one of the most unique comedians in the world, it shows his unique humour, its makes you realize how simplistic Toby Turner's humour is, yet its such a personal style to Tobuscus and so hilarious to anyone thats loves his humour.
and that my friend, is why this piece so so perfect.

If you're going to be that general, then you could count literally everything as art--objects, buildings, ideas, emotions, etc. A rotting, decaying, disfigured, brutally murdered body would be upheld as a king by your philosophy, even at the pain and anguish of the family of the dead person.
There is art, and there are things that are not artistic. By your definition, anything that affects someone (literally everything in the world and beyond) is counted as art. You see something disgusting on the street, you turn away. It affected your sensibilities in such a way that it repelled you. That, by your definition, is art, and by your philosophy, you're disrespecting its artistic quality and denying its purpose.

I give up then.
You just don't understand what i'm trying to say to you.
As an artist you should realize all art is beautiful but apparently not.
3 of my best mates died in a car crash recently, i saw there bodys a few days after and it made me think,
it made me realize how fragile and short life is.
You will never understand art as your the sort of person who thinks art is only beautiful if its created by beautiful people.
I don't enjoy arguing, especially not with people like you.
Leave me the fuck alone.

I HAVE AN IDEA!
How about. . . you guys stop arguing about what is or isn't art-- because the simple fact of the matter is that people have different concepts of what art is, and most will probably never change their views. Such is the nature of mankind.
I respect both your opinions, but the bickering just needs to stop.

Who are you to judge what art is?
This artist edited a picture, added a caption and generally changed the picture, there expressing what they want to express, abit like what you do with yer little 3 line poems.
...'Today it is raining.
All is calm and beautiful.
Return tomorrow.'
I hope you don't return.

I wasn't trying to be an ass-- okay, maybe a little-- but haikus are the only type of poetry I know how to write without it turning out horribly wrong, so I felt I had to point that out.

Actually, the picture was put onto a black frame, and some attempt at being witty was placed under it. That's about the deepest that this can go.
As I say on those three-line pieces I have, I don't like the style. However, one must understand that there's more to it. Those three lines of haiku that the Japanese stylized are brief and simplistic, but they hold within them all of the ideas that branch from it. It rains, it's calm and beautiful--that gives an idea of what a storm is in someone's eyes. The last line states how quickly storms come and go, and the desire for the serenity and beauty to stay.
However, if you have something to say about what I post, please post it on the page of whatever it is that I post.

Umm, do you know who Tobscus is? Because if you do then you will find it humorous. This is considered art because this person edited it and added text, art is expressing yourself and it doesn't just fit under drawing or writing poems. Plus, if you do not like people commenting something not nice about your art don't do the same to somebody elses. If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all.

The image wasn't edited. It was cropped and placed in a template that was not of the user's original creation.
As far as negative comments about my work, I actually hope for it, as long as it's about the work itself and not about me, since the focus is the work. If they have some form of criticism, I hope to hear it so that I can better what I create.
