Description
Nuts used for engine to tailpipe connection. Stainless bolts and Titanium nuts to deal with the high temperatures developed in the engine. Because of the need to torque each bolt/nut, they are 12 points, rather then 6. Sharp eyes will notice that there are two type of nuts in the photo. Just two different ways to lock in place, and keep the nuts from backing off on the bolts.
They were being thrown out, when the A-6E was de-commissioned. I thought it was interesting, and rescued them from the trash.
