And yes, that recent comic is freakin' adorable. ^.^
This is a sweet, beautiful drawing, and I really like the emotion conveyed in it. I imagine that what Gaster is experiencing is what you feel when you suddenly realize the full weight of a choice you made and what it means to shoulder responsibility for it. You feel overwhelmed, frightened, and even despaired. I can only imagine what a terrible feeling it can be. Yet at the same time, you get a sense of hope from this, maybe because of its context. Those familiar with Handplates would be aware of just how difficult a choice Gaster would have had to have made here (giving up his project, revealing what he's done, and taking responsibility as a father), and the courage it would have taken to make that moral choice. You as the viewer feel sympathetic and want to root him on. At least, that's how I see it. (Just to be sure I've gotten this straight though, what does Gaster feel he can't do, exactly? Become a father?)
The bright and glowing colors in this are an interesting effect and really highlight the subjects. Depending on where you look, the picture can be either subtle and monochrome or vibrant and glowing. I'm guessing you purposely used blue and orange for the skelebros because those are their eye-glowing colors. But why did you use purple for Gaster as opposed to yellow? Was that intentional?
At any rate, congrats on a lovely work of fan art.

I was under the impression that Gaster's color was purple, although I understand that in different versions he can be interpreted as yellow. Glad you liked it though!

Well, in Handplates at least, his default eye glow color is yellow. But yeah, in most fan representations, his color is, in fact, purple.

I didn't know that, I have read almost all of handplates I didn't know it was yellow. I was sure it was purple.

You can try check in with Zarla if you like just to be sure, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be yellow. There's mention of it in
this comic's description if that helps any.
