Iluvian is a riegent sentinel. Riegents are known to be an elusive and secretive race, keeping much of their technology and knowledge private. This is where the status of sentinel comes in. It has been documented that riegents maintain “vaults” of sorts in order to hold unimaginable mysteries that are too extreme to be unleashed into free domain. Riegent sentinels are very powerful individuals assigned to guard these vaults. They are capable of telepathy and altering minds in ways similar to dreams or psychedelic drugs.

Iluvian is the only sentinel encountered by the Alpha-7 crew, but there are more than him. His skin is a dark brownish-grey and he is covered in sacred riegent markings that are the same golden color as his eyes. Aside from his status as a sentinel, not much is known about his background or personal life.
