Been writing and rewriting the Alola arc throughout this week, cuz I felt like I should focus on a story that has everything laid out and finished rather than scramble to rewrite things for Galar in a year or two cuz I jumped the gun again. I do plan on posting a link to the Google Doc once I get the thing completed.

The beginning of the arc is pretty different to the show. Rather than Ash and Skye simply wanting to stay in Alola--they were told to stay and take part in the Island Pilgrimage by Tapu Koko because they were "required" for a future event.

Neither Ash or Skye were happy with this. They just wanted to have a fun vacation, then go back home to Kanto. The both of them were still recovering from the Megalith Incident, and now they've got this shit to deal with? It's almost as if their author loves putting them through hell ;Y

The picture is meant to be their first night in Alola. Due to everything being short-notice, Skye had to spend the night at Professor Kukui's house so that his uncle had time to clean out his guestroom. Skye was unable to sleep, which kept Ash up so they vented to each other about their situation until Skye finally managed to fall asleep. Ash, however, stayed up a little longer to think.
