I'm super self-conscious about this so it always makes ba happy when friends and strangers tell me they enjoy this dumb shit and find it wholesome and cute

that does my heart and soul a good

it's kinda cool too

and TEA is just one of these very personal things, something I use to cope with my anxiety, paranoia, and depression so posting something like this is always a big oof for me

but this is my art

this is something I love to do

and

I don't want to be afraid of posting what I crafted with so much love just because someone might be angy about it

and I think that is a big point in art

finding a spot where you are comfortable with people criticizing it for legit or dumb reasons but still having fun with it anyways

that's where I see the important place of "cringe culture"

or rather

people making fun of other peoples art for sometimes valid and sometimes invalid reasons

and it's important

it's important to point out flaws and teach people to improve but also teach them to choose to simply ignore what others say and have fun

most younglings don't know that what they draw or write might be terrible and as they grow up they look back at their own things in cringe because they improved and if we manage to help them understand sooner they have more time to perfect what they love

but it's also important to realize that there are characters or stories that exist we would define as cringe but the creator is perfectly aware of it and just doesn't care and has fun and that is just as valid

protecting kids from any sort of criticism is dumb because that way they don't learn to deal with it and are on their own with improving but it's equally as dumb to just wail on people who are out here just having fun

both in the sense of execution and concept

in the same breath, we do also have to respect that people might really no like what we do, even if we are just having fun and that is okay too

I think the good old OCxCanon is a big offender on all sides

for most people it's either "all OCxCanon is trash" or "Every OCxCanon ship is valid"

but that is dumb cause, in reality, it's much more like "some are valid some are not, some are trash and some are not, some are wonderful and some are not"

and a lot of that lays with personal preferences and understanding

so to go full circle and come back to TEA: Is it a good ship?

Yes and no, it depends on the person who you ask

I get why someone would find it cringe and hate it

but I also get why someone might like it and find it wholesome too

but alas

these are just early morning rambles from me

fucking stop giving people shit for shipping their OCs with more than one character (maybe that be in a polyship or spread out over different AUs or so)

people got cancled over this and it's absolutely cringe

monogamy isn't the only valid way of loving y'know .-.
