Description The nest few weeks were pretty rough. Everyday you worked with Nat, Steve, and Clint on figuring out which fighting style worked best for you. The main problem was that you normally avoided any kind of conflict. If you were in a situation that absolutely required you to defend yourself, you would just change your surroundings and try to intimidate your opponent. Currently you were laying on the floor trying to catch your breath after running with Steve.
"Is she going to be okay?" You raised your arm straight with one thumb up. Tony chuckled and shook his head. "I think you ran her a little too hard Cap." Steve rubbed the back of his neck.
"We only ran four miles..."
'Three too many if you ask me.' Clint laughed and told the other two what you had signed.
"Well, we should probably give her a day off. She's been working pretty hard." You looked at Tony and nodded as enthusiastically as you could muster.
"She has but," Steve sighed. "We haven't made much progress. She still can't land any hits, can hardly dodge, and really isnt doing well with long range either." You slowly stood up and looked at the heroes surrounding you and sighed. At this rate, you would either die of old or be killed before you were even half as good as any of them.
"Maybe I could be of assistance." You whipped around and looked at the source of the voice, then narrowed your eyes.
'I'm not working with that little goth boy.' Ckint keeled over laughing and Loki just rolled his eyes.
"I am not a little goth boy. If you don't want to be of any use, then fine." Your eyes widened and you looked at him like a deer in headlights. Tony and Steve looked at each other and then back at him.
"How did you know what she said reindeer games?" Loki pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that? Besides, I decided to learn her sign language so that I could know what she is saying."
'You... you learned sign language?'
"Not just learned my dear." He smirked then signed. 'I mastered it. A rather simple concept actually.'
'I'm out.' You transported yourself to your room, but to no surprise, Loki followed.
"You really think you can get away that easily? You mortals really are stupid."
'Get out.'
"No. Listen, all I'm doing is trying to offer you the help you so obviously need. Normally I would not stop so low as to help such a weak mortal, but I have nothing else to do in this prison they call a tower." He was right. He didn't need to be such an ass about it, but he was right. You needed any help you could get.
'Fine, I'll bite. How do you think you can help me if none of them can?'
"Easy. They are training you in such a stupid, ineffective way. Trying to give you a choice as to how you can fight. I will treat you as the child you are and train you in one way until you master it."
'I'm not a child.'
"You are as helpless as a newborn baby. Meet me in the training room after dinner." With that, he was gone. Thank God. You sighed and got in the shower. How could the day be so long, yet still only be 9 in the morning?
