Rember that pic I did of Slasher were it was about if he sould go with boxers or briefs.Some of you said boxers some say brife and others say he look better without.
Well I did anothr one with Slasher in boxers, briefs and nothing at all XD

Too often I tend to side with boxers as briefs seem too generic and normal in all cases (usually boxers tend to be effective in cartoon work over briefs it seems).
If there had been a way to draw or color them in your work, I'd probably just go with the simple design like the verticle lines or polka dots unless that's too cliche. Usually everytime I see characters wearing them, there's usually the non-presence of a fly on the front. This used to confused me greatly as I wasn't sure if they had them or not (perhaps more a conservative attitude of the old days to be safe, or just a question of simplicity in not detailIng them further).
