"The FMCS-14 Tomcat 2 was the crowning achievement of the Federation Military Development Programs during the 2080s. The Tomcat II is a high speed aerial assault MACS that was capable of higher top speeds than any other prior MACS Unit. While it is still utilized by the Federation, many of these units have found their way into the hands of mercenaries and poorer states."
