Like two tired boxers trading punches late in the ninth round She-Hulk and Power Girl exchanged equally sloppy feints and jabs. Behind them Wonder Woman, beaten unconscious by She-Hulk, was draped limply over a pile of rubble. The struggle between the two tired combatants continued for another three minutes. Finally, Power Girl saw an opening. Summoning all her remaining strength, she unleashed a crushing left hook. It connected at the base of the jaw, sending She-Hulk's head twisting unnaturally. The green giantess' eyes rolled back. Her muscles turned to jelly. Her legs buckling and collapsing, she fell on her butt. Power Girl followed up with a roundhouse kick to the head. She-Hulk remained upright, but her head hung down low, her chin pressing into her neck. Power Girl was desperate to ensure she stayed out. She put all her weight into a judo chop to the back of the skull. She Hulk toppled on her side. Power Girl, satisfied that She Hulk would stay down this time, hurried to check on Wonder Woman.
