"stay", "socializing", and "lie down on command"

"stay"
While it took awhile for both of the pups to calm down and focus enough to eventually start to listen, they definitely did. It took a lot of treats and a lot of praise, but finally they were willing to listen. Mesa was the first one to sit and stay, taking it upon herself to one-up the stubborn, absent-minded Drizzle and become the first receiver of large amounts of praise and treats. Of course after seeing this and witnessing how much fun it looked like Mesa had- Drizzle soon followed suit. It took him some time, but he was finally able to keep his mind in place and stay where he was instead of immediately following after. Overall, it was a very good, fruitful training session!

"socializing"
This came naturally to both of the pups. They immediately took to each other and socialized very well. Hopefully they would have, considering they had been well socialized since they were very young. This test was almost a complete shoe in. Both are very nice tempered dogs who if anything, just want to play.

"lay down on command"
Thankfully both of the dogs enjoy laying down already, so the lie down command came on fast. They both took the time to relax after some hardcore socializing, waiting patiently with wagging tails. Even though they would have liked some treats, they did very well without the enticement. It was very clear that despite the fact they were both very excitable puppies- they were smart and willing to learn, and relatively fast as well. A promising outlook to the future of the dogs.
