Description oil on canvas painted when I was 16

This is originally by Boris Vallejo I believe,but I dont know the title. It just came back to me cause my stepfather died. Some other of my old works my mom is digging up. Ill see if I can get them cleaned up and posted.

very nice work!.......at the age of 16 ......I was oil painting Frank Frazetta work called "The Silver Warrior" and I still have it amazingly.... I should have gone farther in my work but branched out to other fields of work ..but now back again of what I like...ART! but now I'm into not traditional but CG.

oh I loved Frazetta too. I have 3 of his books prior to internet days. I drew a few things inspired by Frazetta never painted one. I love that golden age of fantasy before anything was digital.

I didnt go so far with painting. Unless like this I had a map of where to put everything. Now I plan to try Z brush so its all good we have great tools now!

I was studying and practicing because I wanted to illustrate fantasy books and stuff. I got my first job painting portraits from photos the same year.

Yes but ,I think its far easier to imitate something exactly that already works and every probl4em is worked out than to make something from scratch. The paintings Ive done with my onn drawings arent this good!
There are artist here that just blow my mind!
