Well, maybe not as lot of patience, if you know some tricks...? Only thing is - to know those tricks. I tried to find some tutorial of how to make realistic crystals in PS. And know, what? I found nothing.

well if you watch a clear picture of a crystal you can copy its shapes ^^
make a triangle brush and make it like a puzzle

I personaly prefere the old red and blue ^^
but the work on the metal part is nice maybe if I was you I add a bit of colored hight light ... I don't know how explain XD
