Aaaaaaw! I forgot about how much I loved bomberman!! I miss him so much. ;-; Especially the louies in his games. They were adorable and the two (Bomberman and Louie) were my inspiration to have the same team like that! >w<
Anyway, nicely done, dude! I think you did a wonderful job and I like the texture look on his hands. Looks awesome! Also, the pose.

Yeah! In fact, the whole plot of the original game was to exit the factory to become a human! (Not that it actually worked...)

I recommended you a while back to a 3D store where I buy most of my products. They probably never contacted you, but if you're ever seriously interested in making figures and products to sell, I'll be happy to ask someone there who has more clout. I think a lot of people would really like your stuff.     Thanks as always for sharing your work!

SmashingRenders In reply to SnowSultan [2015-09-09 19:03:20 +0000 UTC]

Oh really? Yeah, I never heard anything from anyone.
But, unfortunately, I really can't anyway. The amount of polygons need to make a smooth model, for printing is too high for my computer. Printers don't recognize smooth shading, so the poly count needs to be very high, and my computer just can't handle that. And I just don't have the money to print stuff, too. But, thank ya for the interest!

SnowSultan In reply to SmashingRenders [2015-09-09 20:16:39 +0000 UTC]

It actually wouldn't be for 3D printing, it would just be for models that can used in 3D renders like you're already doing. Stores like www.daz3d.com, www.runtimedna.com, and www.renderosity.com sell rigged figures and props for artists like myself to use for making art. Many are subdivided in the programs we use, so polygon count does not to be terribly high.

Renderosity will sell almost anything as long as it will load without an error.     DAZ has much higher quality standards, but it's the most popular content site. There are a few other places like Turbosquid too that sell products in formats for the higher-end programs like Maya, Max, and Cinema4D.

If I can help with anything else, feel free to let me know! Thanks for your time.

SmashingRenders In reply to SnowSultan [2015-09-10 00:30:34 +0000 UTC]

Ooh, I see what ya mean! Though, I don't really do any multi-purpose models. It's all either fan-art, commissions, or my few original characters. Nothing that can be sold and used by others.

SnowSultan In reply to SmashingRenders [2015-09-10 05:02:13 +0000 UTC]

Sure, I understand. Just something to keep in mind since you have great skills and can already do all of the necessary work required to make a commercial item (model, rig, morph, and texture). There's no schedule or anything where you have to make something every so often, you can just decide one day to make a cute alien or a stuffed bear or whatever and then sell it whenever it's finished.

Keep up the good work!

SmashingRenders In reply to SnowSultan [2015-09-11 01:34:09 +0000 UTC]

Well thank you! I will keep it in mind, then! It does sound pretty interesting! Though, the way I rig and model seems to be a bit different than most, especially rigging. I'm not sure if that'd be a problem? As my rigging is pretty simple, but, it still does work well?

SnowSultan In reply to SmashingRenders [2015-09-11 06:20:19 +0000 UTC]

Nearly everyone who buys content from the stores I mentioned either use Poser or DAZ Studio, two slightly lower-end 3D suites designed for posing and rendering figures. Poseable figures have to be rigged to work in those programs, but I don't think it would require anything too complicated aside from painting weight maps (do you do that in Blender too?).

I will try to find and forward a video tutorial showing a figure being rigged in DAZ Studio (which is what I use) so you can see if it looks familiar at all. I'm not a modeler, so I don't know all that much about rigging offhand.

I'll send a note as soon as I can find something useful. Thanks!

SmashingRenders In reply to SnowSultan [2015-09-13 01:52:44 +0000 UTC]

Sorry for the late reply!

Hmm, really? So just a basic rig works? No fancy controls or anything? That works then!

And alright! Thank you!

SnowSultan In reply to SmashingRenders [2015-09-13 05:20:35 +0000 UTC]

Actually no, I just got a reply from a very good Blender/Studio user who sent me a step-by-step guide on what you have to do (you have to re-rig the figure in DAZ Studio). I will forward it in all in a note later tonight. It sounds like you'll have to learn some new stuff, so it'll depend on how many ideas you have for products and how much time you want to put into it.

Will contact you soon. Thanks!

And which group? Smashified? 'Cause this wasn't meant to be a smashified thing. And plus, they made him already, so.

You can still submit it to the community section. I am sure they would accept a bit a fan art.
