The 3D stuff looks spot on and the colors all work well together but i dont like the grungey bits in the 2D.
I just dont think the cartoon style and grunge go together well.

Great concept - and it looks beautiful! I would be really scared if something like this actually came along in a Mario game! What I likem ost about it is the roughness of the background and then how clean the subject is. Crazy
