Very sweet
You have a knack at makeing these look like clay in a photo...they always look like sculpture to me

I'm not entierly sure. It looks sculpted to me. The texture reminds me of Sculpey after its dried

Probably has something to do with the lighting I use, who knows.

You're welcome.
However, on further review, I have some things to point out. The leaves all seems identical, the grass is bump mapped (a good one though), and the pot looks as though it's floating. But hey, forgive my perfectionism, it's still a great piece.

All the leaves are identical, the grass doesn't have a bump map, not sure why the pot would seem like it's floating, it's in contact with the ground plane.

ahh, i think 'distinct style' was a more appropriate phrase to use.. didn't mean to confuse you.

you're just giving out a generic response!

smashmethod In reply to EarthboundCelestial [2006-09-10 03:54:15 +0000 UTC]
Actually, I read, and manually type out "Thanks" to every one of the comments. If it's a generic comment, it gets a generic answer. If it's a question, or something else, I answer it.

It takes literally hours on end to type out a well-thought out response to comments. Please consider this before giving someone heck for something so trivial. Lots of the more popular deviants don't even take the time to reply at all.

smashmethod In reply to oibyrd [2006-09-10 03:56:42 +0000 UTC]
It's not just that a "well thought out" repsonse takes much longer, it's just that there is only so many ways to reply to a generic "cool" comment. I choose a simple "thanks" for those comments that don't have any particular articulation to them.

oibyrd In reply to smashmethod [2006-09-10 04:05:28 +0000 UTC]
oh I didn't mean anything by that - I just meant that typing out responses for each comment is difficult when there are so many - I hope it didn't sound offensive.

Didn't seem offensive, I was just explaining is all.

Traced a butterfly outline in illustrator and imported it, dropped a texture on it.
