Sorry about this, but I just don't like any of the music you ever made. Guess my taste is different from yours.

Ok, so I listened to the music. Overall really awesome. It's obviously meant to dance to, and as such the songs go on a little long, but some were awesome despite that. The best were definately Forward Or Backward (what is that sample from?), Letters From Home (my favorite I think), and Arrival remix.

Thanks for the feedback. The sample in Forward Or Backward is from some old radio program, like back before TV was invented. Some station on winamp was playing back old shows, and I just grabbed a hunk from one and hacked it up.

I'll try to release the album art in PDF form soon, so you can just print it out and assemble your own, if you'd like.

I went back and downloaded your other musical pieces, too.

I kinda like what I'm hearing. I don't really listen to much of anything in the techno genre but I have heard enough of such things through various game soundtracks. you've created some solid stuff with one discernable happy vibe going on, and as it stands it could easily be spun at a dance club or wind up in the soundtrack for the next Armored Core game or something. it probably wouldn't go very much further than that at the moment though.
so yeah. there's my feedback.

hi my friend
and again good stuff
My fav are track 3, 5, 11
track 11 is a really cool abstract piece of work ^^

11 was the super-old, unreleased track. One of my first efforts with samples instead of pure midi. I have some sentimental attachment to it, if nothing else.

Oh, is the voice on "Where's the Kaboom" Marvin the Martian?

DragonlordPhoenix In reply to smashmethod [2006-08-05 18:14:59 +0000 UTC]
I was thinking I actually remembered seeing a Marvin cartoon where he used the lines that pop up in the song. He's so weird...

That's quite a bit of pink...
I love "Where's the Kaboom", "Seriousum", "Nyah", "Arrival", and "Euphoria". Actually, "Nyah" was best before it sped up. Overall, it's okay, but I liked it more at its beginning speed.
"I'll buy that for a dollar. "

It's hard to say if you're a better with visual arts or the musical media: I'm blown away by both.
Is that The Never-ending Story in Forward Or Backward? Sounds great.

smashmethod In reply to Valesse [2006-08-05 00:55:13 +0000 UTC]
I'm not sure what you're referring to. If you mean the voice sample, it's from an old radio station I tapped into online, I just recorded a chunk from an old program, and hacked it up.
Glad someone else enjoys my tunes.

The Design is stunning.
The Sampler is great, downloading the rest atm and I must say I'm looking forward to it very much.
I would consider the musicstyle "Smashy" ;D

I'll petition the "smashy" style be added to ID3's pre-selectable genres.

Thanks. That's one of my fav tracks too. I like the way the sped up barrage of drums comes back together with the piano at the end.

I really enjoyed this album, while I thought some of the others were weak at points, this one doesn't suffer from this. Maybe some of the tracks could have done with a slightly more prominent bass beat, still excellent regardless though.
Another smashmethod triumph.
