Would have been nice but the stars are just to plain and simplistic that it really takes from the piece.

Usually you add so much atmosphere and light to your work that the stars while of the same type don't look as harsh. The white stars don't look so bad, simple but they do look like light, the other colours just look like red blue and yellow dots.
