Hey guys! Back at it again with... another self portrait XD This is the second drawing from my figure drawing midterm assignment, the creative one. We had to pick a contemporary artist to research and then do a portrait in their style. The artist I chose is Natalie Foss, cuz I follow her on Tumblr lol So I did another self portrait (again cuz it's awk to ask others to pose...) about how quiet I am. I've gotten... mixed reactions to this piece... everyone was like wow that's so cool! But most of em thought it was a surprised face (and then my mum thought it was a scared one???), but the hands over the mouth represent silence (and it echoes the Xs on the shirt). I tried to have a neutral expression... but it is a little more animated than my actual neutral face because that would be too somber probably (I have a resting-bitch/sad-face smh). The Os in the background kinda represent observation (cuz they look like eyes kinda), but also outside noise. So while I'm really quiet, everyone around me is loud, basically XD Also, y'know, Xs and Os... a theme I have goin on in my art lol Anyways, hope y'all enjoy!
