As a whole it kinda looks to me like a giant, radioactive moth. That's part of what I like about your work, how open it is to interpretation.

Love the colour scheme, dark and gritty but lightened up by the almost neon colours of the green and orange lights. Reminds me of some inner city areas and their neon signs or graffiti, and I suppose those are usually decaying spots too anyway
