This is the first cosplay I made most everything myself. I am so freaking proud of this outfit and props.Took a while to get the sand effect, but we finally got it right and this was the result.

It's paper mache, so not heavy at all. I got those large balloons and used those.

Ah, your gourd is so cool! You did a good job with the sand effect because I was just sitting there trying to figure out if it was real or not! Also, a great background for a Gaara cosplay photo. Not to mention a great job for your first time making most of the cosplay yourself!
