My dragonfly mug is stunning up on a shelf, lol.
I know it is intended to be used, and I do use it when I am feeling sort of...sad or ill, but most of the time I admire it with my eye from afar.

hehehehe I have to confess I know what you mean - I didn't give my peacock mug to anyone ([link] ) and I like to look at it and I get annoyed when someone uses it without permission

It is stunning, dear, as with all of your work.

I'd look at it too, if I had your talent.

I'm glad it looks detailed and the lettering - I was afraid I wouldn't manage to fit the whole sentence there! It means: "There are a few important moments in our lives, these that we wait for..."

Really cool design! You should fill the bottle with fresh birch sap.

I love harvesting birch sap in early spring. Don't know whether that's common in Poland? Cutting of twigs and tying bottles to them overnight? Sweet and healthy refreshment, tapped straight from the tree.

smist In reply to N-o-B [2012-04-10 18:35:50 +0000 UTC]

wooow, never heard of that, neither did I drink one. I can see you're from Norway, so is it common in your area? well, sounds interesting

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

N-o-B In reply to smist [2012-04-11 16:17:18 +0000 UTC]

Then you should definately try it. It doesn't hurt the birch significantly, and it's the definite taste of spring. You should use several bottles on different trees, as it usually is produced only a small amount from each twig before it dries out. The early spring's the best time to do it, when you get mostly water filtered through the tree. Later, when the trees stand green, the sap will become thicker, and taste a bit bitter.
(It's also an advantage if avoiding rainy days, as this will dilute the "birch juice".)
