AAAAAAAAAA!!! After weeks of work, I have finally finished my commemorative piece for my favorite movie of the year, Coco!! AAAAAAA!!! I love this movie to death and I really wanted to do its brilliance justice with bright colors and TONS of detail.
I hope you all like it!! Now I'm just going to try to reattach my hand to my wrist after drawing non-stop for hours. 
AND IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN COCO YET GO AND SEE IT ASAP.

Probably either a songbird (because he loves music so much) or a street dog like Dante (He did grow up in Santa Cecilia as an orphan, after all)
...Or hey, maybe Dante IS Hector's spirit guide as well as Miguel's. When Hector found he couldn't cross the bridge the first year, he just sent his alebrije over to watch over the family, along with Pepita, who Imelda sent to do the same. Dante ended up staying in the Living World so long that he forgot he was an alebrije. (hence his surprise at the 'transformation' on Pepita's back in the movie.)
But that's just my headcanon. Feel free to use it/adopt it, and or even ADD to it! I'm always happy to accept new and interesting ideas!

Oh, and I DID cry during Hector's REAL version of 'Remember Me'. I was bawling my brains out. XD
And when I found out that Gael Garcia Bernal and his real life young daughter were actually singing that song together when they recorded that scene, I lost it again. TOO KYUUUTE!
And I cried when Hector almost disappeared after the 'Sunrise Spectacular' concert. SO TRAGIC!
And I happy cried when Hector FINALLY got to cross that 'dumb flower bridge'. (his words, not mine. XD) The first words out of my mouth when the camera switched scenes from the ofrenda to the Land of the Dead were: "He made it! He made it!"

Likewise. My favourite movie of the year was going to be The Disaster Artist, but Coco blew that movie clear out of the water. This, in my mind, is how you properly do an animated musical.
