**SLAMS HANDS ON TABLE**
FINALLY, IT'S FINISHED!
After beating Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood fairly recently, I decided I'd draw out my main team and their chao in the poses that appear on the top screen when using a POW move. This is probably one of my biggest projects I've worked on for a while. It took a whopping 225 layers total to make this. The maximum layers for one canvas this size was 171, so I had to shade the chao on a separate canvas and merge them down to one that I could paste onto the main piece.

Below is just a ramble that doesn't go anywhere about the characters here and why I like them LOL.

I stopped playing this game originally in 2014 and came back to it for a little bit around 2020, but only recently did I sit down and actually beat it. It was a super nostalgic experience and it feels so weird knowing that it's over now. There's no sequel to continue the story and it sucks. But what doesn't suck is being able to make up whatever you want. So instead of complaining I will be replaying the game until I max everyone out and become god.
Knuckles is paired with Spartoi, Sonic is paired with Hayda, Shadow is paired with Ferox, and Shade is paired with Joy. I beat this game with brute force and the help of these chao saved my ass several times. Joy regenerating just enough HP that the team could take a hit and Hayda giving Shadow that extra PP boost he needed to pull off a Chaos Rift to end the battle on the next turn...
Truthfully I didn't use Ferox with Shadow for most the game. But when I started to, it was bad news for anyone who opposed me. Level 3 Chaos Rift with a 0% chance of failing due to human error? Yes please. Shadow OP.
Sonic and Shadow were always my favorites, and their speed worked well with my "kill them before they can kill you" playstyle. Knuckles hit hard which gave him the most appeal for me out of Sonic's other friends. Now, Shade. I love her design even though I hated trying to draw it, and it sucks that we won't be seeing her again in the future. Thanks, Ken Penders. Her co-op and life leeching POW moves were a blast to use as well. I may draw her again in the future, but maybe not with all the shading LOL
