Prompt: "Deer have always roamed the territories, but the clans have been seeing a lot more of them recently. Between the various tracks, the over-eaten plant life, and the all too close encounters with the large animals, it seems there's just no avoiding them."
Bullflower was out on a solo hunt one afternoon. He knew that there was a deer problem at the moment, but he didn't think he'd run into too much trouble.
His ears flicked as he heard a loud trampling noise. He turned just in time to see a large deer, stampeding his way. Panicked he turned tail and ran, but of course, the deer was faster, and gaining on him quickly. Bullflower curled in on himself, waiting for the blow to come...
Crunch!
Bullflower was alight with pain. A searing agony rose in his hind leg, stronger than anything he had ever felt before. He screamed and thrashed as the deer continued on its path, seemingly unaware of what it had done. He could have been lying there for seconds or hours before a nearby patrol heard his cries and rushed him to the herbalist's den. All he knew was that whatever this was, it was bad.
