I wanted to do a parody of the Devilman Crybaby poster with my character, Writhe in his demon form.

I had the idea for Writhe to have a "devil" form long before I ever saw Devilman or knew what it was. I was always into edgy stuff so that was gonna be part of his character no matter what. But I didn't really like the early designs of his demon form, it just wasn't very good and I put a lot more detail into it that made drawing it a lot less practical. When I saw the designs of the devils in DCB, it kinda inspired me and gave me a second idea for his design. I guess you could say it helped me finalize it. As kind of a homage to that show, cause the fucking art and animation is amazing, I parodied the poster of it with Writhe. Although I could NEVER draw as good as the artists who worked on that show XD Like, not even close.

So yeah, big inspo, and also one of the few good things Netflix has ever put out.
