LOL! Lots of people do that, even me. It's because we don't know what we want more until we've been forced to choose. That's why I've shifted the habit to flipping a coin. If the coin lands on the opposite of what I want, I realize that I wanted it more in the first place, and go for it. If it lands, and I'm apathetic either way, I just do what the coin says! Easy!

Also on the asking side; quick trick I've learned: if you ask someone cuz your indecisive, you'll suddenly know the answer you want, because you'll know what you're hoping for. As long as you don't mind pissing the other person off if they answer 'wrongly' it's pretty effective.
