Awww! That's so sweet! It kind of reminds me of a story, actually:
I hate hate HATE haunted houses (fake ones), but I keep going into them for one reason or another. One particular Halloween a few years ago, me, my sister, and her dude friend, Brian, were at Del Osso (www.pumpkinmaze.com/home.html) , since we live a city or two away. Brian wanted to check out the haunted house they had, and Tiff was up for anything. Since I didn't want to be seen as a p***y, I decided to go as well.
We bought our tickets and went inside. I stayed behind the both of them, hopeful that they would trigger all the jump scares before I came across them. It was okay for a few minutes, when all of a sudden, a zombie clown came out and scared me. I screamed from the fright, then paused and waited for him to go away, like the other actors did.
He didn't.
I screamed some more. He then began to come towards me. I began to hit him with my purse and continued to scream, "AAAAAH! TIFFANY, WAIT FOR ME!" I mean, the only thing worse than being approached by a zombie clown is being approached by a zombie clown alone, right? Then, out of nowhere, my sister comes him, grabs his shoulder, and give him this glare of death.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" she yelled. The zombie clown actually cowered in fear of her, she was so intimidating. She then took my hand and we left through an emergency exit. I was shaken up something fierce, but I also couldn't help but have a special respect for her from that day on.
I guess what that story is supposed to say is, though too much coddling is too much, having a strong sense of protection for your younger siblings is something special and nothing to worry about. They'll respect and love you for having their best interests at heart, be it again lolita or a zombie clown!
