Barbara Minerva, was a British Soldier who worked under A.R.G.U.S Archeology division. She had garnered a reputation to go to any lengths to secure an artifact. She led a squadron to an expedition she led into a dense African jungle. She was searching for the legendary lost city of the Urzkartagan tribe. Deep within the jungle, her team was betrayed by their guides and ambushed by the Urzkartagans. Only she and one other, Dr. Tom Leavens, escaped by diving into a river. The two of them found the lost city while it was in the midst of a ritual. One of the other members of their team was sacrificed by the high priest, Chuma. The ritual had been intended to restore to health the ailing woman who was regarded as an avatar for their cheetah god. Chuma wanted the ritual to turn the old woman into the cheetah god. The ritual, which could only be performed on the full moon and required a blood sacrifice, would restore the woman's youth as well. Minerva demanded the ritual be done to her so she could have her chance at power and immortality killing the old woman before it can be done to her. When Chuma explained there must be a male sacrifice, Minerva murdered Dr. Leavens to drink his blood. Chuma worked tirelessly to turn her into his god. The ritual was finally complete and Minerva was transformed into Cheetah, To thank Chuma she killed him by slitting his throat.

Cheetah was contacted by Circe to terminate Wonder Woman, she told Cheetah that she would make her the queen in her new world where she would be ten times more powerful than before and rule however she wanted and only pray to Circe. After a long drawn out fight Cheetah lost to Wonder Woman. Barbara's obsession to gain more power as made ruthless and hates Wonder Woman because she is jealous of the power she wields. She loves to hunt powerful people and is Wonder Woman's greatest foe.

Powers & Abilities:
Cheetah is the Avatar of the goddess of the hunt. Her powers are magic base, meaning that she falls under as a magical being able to harm the likes of Superman. Barbara is able to transform from her human form into the Cheetah at will but rarely is in human form because she believes it to be a reminder of when she deemed herself weak. As an avatar of a god, Cheetah possesses great strength. Cheetah is strong enough to smash down trees when she throws someone with her tail. She and Wonder Woman displayed equivalent strength. Cheetah's physical durability is enough to withstand blows from the likes of Wonder Woman and Superman.

Cheetah's speed is also superhuman, Cheetah possesses greater speed than Wonder Woman, enhanced even further by training with Reverse Flash which removed her mental block. Cheetah's body coordination is incredible, able to tag very fast superheroes and superheroines such as Wonder Woman, Flash and Superman. It as being said that multiple times, that the goddess guides her claws, meaning that the goddess plays some part in coordinating her movements. Her reflexes are godlike, faster than both Flash, Wonder Woman, and Superman. Being a feline-hybrid she has enhanced senses. She can tell if someone is mind-controlled by a smell. Cheetah's claws and fangs are enchanted and allow her to cut almost anything. Even the flesh of superhumanly durable metahumans offers little resistance. Cheetah can see through her infrared vision, meaning that she can see and detect other creatures through their body temperatures. Moreover, she can see in the dark, see long distances, and detect any movements.

She can grab and choke her enemies with her tail. The power that her tail generates enables her to chop through trees.
