Description
Taken at Lindisfarne, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. This on my Facebook page: [link]
I have visited this location before but never when I've wanted. Here is the other shots taken years ago, again, just missing the light:
Left: Taken somewhere along the car trail on the left of this image.
Right: Taken 30m to the left of this photo.
Hobart (and Tasmania in general) is a small, strange place...
I've learnt something from this photo. I was down in Tasmania for my Nana's 90th for just three days, I had very little time to take photos. I was 30mins late to the location and lost the twilight. The water was also still as crystal at 6am in the morning but due to complications with my broken camera battery and me not been a morning person I couldn't get myself on location. This got me thinking; the photos that could have beenΒ may have been better but that doesn't matter. Those photos are independent to each other. Due to timing it is apples and organes. This photo stands tall on its own. The lighting and clouds and composition are completely different to anything that would have been. Because of this I am still proud of this shot.
I was dumb and forgot to take this image in portrait mode; nevermind :/ .
I was feeling somewhat uninspired before editing this photo. I have university holidays and all of my focus that was on assessments was dropped. I was left feeling lost and somewhat useless. Constant roadblocks with technical difficulties with my camera and laptop weren't helping either. I then shared the unedited version of this shot on Facebook. It got many likes and positive comments. This gave me that emotional boost I needed and powered through all my Tasmania photos and allowed me to keep my head high.
Edited in Adobe Photoshop CS6.
Hoya HD UV and Manfrotto 190 used.
