2019 version

I don't remember a ton about making this. Just having fun rendering - especially that glow effect on the pumpkin. It's cute but the background was very much an afterthought, and rendering things tends to slightly warp and stiffen them.

2023 version

I had a blast with this one, and it only took about 3 hours from concept to completion. I knew I wanted to revisit the idea, but after my previous redraw I wanted to focus more on composition than on technical skill. Buddy did turn out a lot more expressive this time around, though, and I am very happy with that. It's something I've been working on. I also wanted to use Buddy in a pumpkin patch as a wallpaper and I've learned that muted colors and simple shapes make it much easier to find my shortcuts.
