Look! A real background! A real live background!
Anywho. I'm really happy with how this turned out, given my grief I encountered when the background layer was deleted magically after my computer crashed.... >< I had to make a blank white layer, and then put another transparent layer on top to fix my dilemma.
I'm not sure how I feel about the colour; all I know is I think it makes the thumb look absolutely KICKASS. Anyway, I have the black and white version saved too just in case.
The claws gave me grief.
I'll probably end up going back to fix those among a couple other little things. My favourite part is the upper left corner of the cage. <3 It was just so fun to do all those little grid patterns.
Anyhow, I love comments and critique. <3

Even with the straight line tool, I always found making straight lines a real pain in the GIMP. Yours look fantastic. I really love that fence in the background.
But now to the more INTERESTING part: Wolverine! About the only thing that I find off is the shadows on the undersides of his forearms. For some reason I'm getting the feeling that that color is accurate, since everything else in this seems to be spot-on, but to me the shading looks misplaced because there isn't anything red or brown, really, to reflect off of. The shadows look a bit vectorized, if you will, instead of natural.
Really, though, that's about it. You're amazing. Stunning work!

I think it really helps that the cage was pretty much entirely silhouetted. I hate trying to draw mid-tones with the straight line function. They always end up looking to strange and pixelated.

His left shoulder strikes me as a little peculiar, but otherwise, I am building a shrine to your awesomeness. ;_; The cage looks amazing!

Omgggg, his shoulders. Bug. The Hell. Out of me. I'mma go back and fix them later, but, yeah. That's what happens when you work out excessively. Crazy mutant shoulders. Then you get recruited by Xavier and get to fight baddies, mmyes.

When I was a kid I could never get claws to come out from between my knuckles, no matter how hard I tried. It took me a while to realise that they had to be there in the first place
As usual the detail is freaking mind-blowing.
And I can't believe you did the bits of fence/cage in the top left corner, that's insane. I think I would have cracked up lol
The only tiny piece of crit I can offer is that he could do with maybe a little shading on the top of his right arm (his right, not ours), it looks a little flat compared to the rest of the picture.

Yeah, i try to take as many shortcuts as possible in bg-making x) leaving it completely blank too most of the time.. I just think it's much more fun drawing or painting the characters, it's always my priority. If i'm not too sick of the picture in the end i try to slap some kind of a bg in there ;o
