That's interesting. Honestly, I was so distracted by the trippy, drug-incuded tone of, well, the whole movie, that I never noticed anything beyond that. Even if the film contradicts its own message, I still enjoy it. I think the Rebirth of Mothra films have the same exact problem, mainly the first two anyway.
