*bigger file updatei just thought that if cupid grows up he would look like this...the god of love probably invented the "love at first sight" anyway one of my most favorite myth is the love story of cupid and psyche ^^
i wanted the look of an old painting...i havent painted something like this in a million years, maybe last when i was in college, i used to paint a lot of mythology themed stuff back then, anyway thanks so much to purveyor-stock for being absolutely beautiful [link] i painted over his photo, and every strand of his hair/brows/lashes is lovingly rendered

It has a really antique feel to it, I think you captured the theme well. The features are very proportional, where as I tend to draw strange faces (though I'm mostly a manga artist). Alas, I have no scanner. Instead I do motivational posters, mostly anime stuff. Anyways, your painting was really good in my opinion

This is a beautiful piece of art. Usually I think of Cupid as having blond hair but this makes him look great with brunette. Good job!

I just want to see more teen-adult Cupid/Eros than all the baby cherubs we get. And I think it would be even cooler to see him in Roman armor with a quiver and fiery arrows.
