"NO....LET ME GO!!! cried out a woman as she struggled against the grip of two men dressed in fatiques - and at the same another woman was dragged kicking and screaming into a room. "LET ME GO.. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?" but no answer was forthcoming as a man wearing a white coat approached with a syringe and the men forced the women's arms outward.. "NO PLEASE " as he injected them and in seconds they ceased their protests and were guided to two disks set next to a giant computer. They were quickly undressed and placed on the disks then two men lowered helmets on their heads fastening it in places then hooking up cables to connectors on the helmets then after making adjustments to a small box walked away.
A man at a console went to work as he typed in a set of commands then after getting a blinking green light from the box pressed a key and a humming filled the room as the cables began to glow as electronic impulses flowed thru the cables into the headset- a beeping sound was heard as a screen flickered to life with the words UPLINK COMPLETE.... PRESS YES TO PROCEED?...... the man pressed the key and the humming grew louder as the women began to shudder and moan then stiffened at attention then their eyes which were closed opened and they were a compound white...
Meanwhile the screen lit up again and flashed DOWNLOADING MEMORY... DOWNLOADING MEMORY .... and the man hit another key and the womens bodies began to glow as electronic impulses flowed thru their bodies as the women moaned as if in ectasy . The man watched the monitor noting that the process as usual was going smoothly as it flashed 50 PERCENT.. 65 PERCENT... 80 PERCENT... 96 PERCENT ... 100 PERCENT .... then flashed DOWNLOAD COMPLETE... and as programmed shut down and the room grew quiet. The man pressed a key and two disks slid out of a machine with name and time on the discs.
The man arose he stood and watched as two assistants remove the helmets from the women then guided them to another set of discs and placed them on the center. They then went to a set of levers and pushed them down and the women disappeared into the floor. The man got up and went to a door where a set of stairs wound into another room lined with tubes containing a subject frozen in ice. There he saw the two women settle into tubes standing motionless their white eyes staring sightlessy ahead.
A technician nodded at him and he waved his hand and the technician punched a key and almost instantly a fog began to fill the tubes obscuring the women inside then after a few seconds a monitor lit up CYRO PROCESS BEGINNING TEMPERATURE MINUS 50 DEGREES.... then watched as the monitor flashed the temperature MINUS 100... MINUS 150... MINUS 200.. MINUS 269... CRYO PROCESS COMPLETE....
The man watched as the tube cleared then walked over to the duo noting how perfect they were how beautiful as they were preserved in the icy gasses staring sightlessy back at him their flesh retaining its tone. A man walked up and handed him the two discs he looked down at the names DOCTOR SUSAN LEE AND VALERIE GAGARIN.. he of course knew them having selected them personally - he then slid the discs into a slot and they were pulled into boxes next to the tubes. He then went to a phone on a wall and picked it up and said "MR DIRECTOR OUR TWO VOLUNTEERS ARE ON BOARD- YES PROJECT SURVIVAL IS ON SCHEDULE"... with that he sighed as he walked along the corridor lined with tubes filled with other women including his wife and daughter as he knew this project would ensure the human races survival..
