Description
I woke up in bed again, but funnily enough, I was sleepy, even after a long rest. I sighed and walked into the bathroom, yawning, and right then my phone rung. It was a nice phone, cobalt blue and filled with all sorts of cool gadgets. The ringtone was “Endless Possibility” but it was remixed in a mix that had both the original and the orchestra versions.

I picked up the phone, and an annoying voice hit my ears. “Hey, my little vixen!” Wulfenzer said into the phone. I grumbled, and sighed. “What is it, Wulfenzer..? You better not bother me after this, weird stuff’s been going on…” “That’s what I wanted to talk to you about.” I lifted an eyebrow in curiosity, what did Wulfenzer know, if anything?

“Y’see, Harmoni, the girl who pranked you, has gone missing. I guessed it’s just karma but now…I kinda think you had something to do with it. I’m not gonna turn you in or anything, I just wanna know if she got what she deserved from you..” Wulfenzer explained. My eyes widened as he said that, how dare he accuse me of even getting close to the mean brat. “Listen up, Wulfenzer…” I said through clenched, gritting teeth, “I am so criminal, and I wouldn’t dare go over that girl’s house!!...” I sighed to myself, suddenly feeling bad for yelling, “Look, I’m sorry, I didn’t do anything, but to make up for yelling… do you wanna hang out at the diner? I’m sure there’d be a nice little party going on over there.”

“Sure! Yeesh, I gotta clean up!” Wulfenzer hung up the phone before I could comment. I guessed I actually did care about him, contrary to the bullying he used to do, and the constant playful stalking he was into. He had been letting up on the stalking lately, so I guess that means he’s actually got some sense… I washed myself up and went into the kitchen.

“Where you goin’ today?” Red said. Her voice was little cautious and cold, but I tried to pretend I didn’t notice. “I’m gonna go hang out with Wulfenzer at The Golden Ring tonight.” “So it’s a date…?” Red asked. I looked up at her in protest. “Okay, okay, it isn’t a date. Still, I never knew you and Wulfenzer were friends.” “We kinda are, now. I’m hoping he doesn’t pull another prank.”

“So, Wulfenzer, this better not be one of your…” When I finally got to the diner, Wulfenzer looked quite different from the last time I had seen him. His spines were shaved just a bit and was made in a style that mimicked hair, and he was wearing a jean jacket, a blue shirt, and black jean pants, and he had new black glasses, most likely prescription. “Your…your…You’re handsome…” I said as my jaw dropped. “No, no, no, I’m Wulfenzer.” He chuckled.

I blinked and felt my cheeks get hotter. “You’re blushing, wow, do I really look good?” Wulfenzer chuckled. I sighed to myself and sat next to him, “Yes, you do. By the way…what do you think happened to Harmoni?” I asked. “I think she got what was coming. Though I would be shocked if she died. It kinda sucks how I wasn’t there to try and protect you, but I simply couldn’t afford to go to the Prom.” He said. I blinked to myself, I kinda wanted her to be dead, as bad as it is to wish death on someone. How dare she embarrass me in front of anyone, that day was proof she had no heart. Death was coming to her…she deserves it…

“Uh…Taila, you okay?” I heard Wulfenzer ask me. “What? Oh, I’m fine, just fine.” I said, my voice failing to hide some of my rage. “You’re…crushing your soda.” I looked down at my soda, it had started to bend inward, I really was crushing the soda. “Sorry about that…” I said, slamming the soda onto the table, making noise. “Oops, um..sorry.” “It’s alright, maybe we can hang out at your place?” “Sure.”

Red opened the door, letting Wulfenzer and I inside. “What, is it a date now?” Red asked. “No, he just wanted to come over. I guess we’re friends now.” I said as I looked at him. I felt my cheeks get warm again, and I turned away from him and walked towards my room. I guess it’d be fun to have a sleepover with my former tormenter.

It was getting late, anyways. And I was getting sleepy. I curled up in my bed and began to doze as Wulfenzer had a chat with Red in the dining room. I began to doze off, whisking away into my personal dreamland. There was grass, green as ever, but machinery was involved as well, my world was a perfect mix of the two. I walked on for a few minutes and came across a door. It was metallic and had red stains on it, and it was upright, as if attached to a building, but no building was there..

I wanted to run away, I mean, bloodied doors are quite suspicious, but for some reason my curiosity wouldn’t leave me be. I slowly opened the door, peeking inside. It was quite dark, but I took my chances and walked inside. When I say dark, I mean pitch black. I could not see a thing, and the door slammed shut just as I realized. My ears drooped as I looked around, my fear showing.

“H-Hello…?” I stuttered out in the darkness, it was getting to me, now. I was kinda scared of the dark. I looked around again, no light.. I felt myself shivering, now, I didn’t know why, probably my fear. I looked around again, finally I saw…eyes? Big, round eyes. Harmoni’s eyes are looking at me. I twitched and backed away. “Harmoni..? What are you doing here..?!”

She kept looking at me in fear, which was quite odd, seeing how she was so proud of treating me so badly. I looked as she looked, and something changed in them, I don’t know what. It was like the life faded out of her eyes. I blinked and watched her, the eyes began to roll back, and I heard a disturbing rattling noise… The eyes sank into the darkness, and right then I heard a demented laugh from behind me. I turned around and saw a pair of eyes and a grin. These eyes glowed white in the dark, and the teeth inside this mouth were razor sharp. I stared for a few seconds, wondering just what was going on.

The eyes and grin began to speak, “Did you have fun watching that, sis…? I know I did…” I jumped back as it spoke, it was an odd version of my voice, it was like me, except with a louder, darker tone. I felt my eyes water, I was too afraid to find out who this was, I ran the other direction, sprinting away. I felt as if it were following me, and it was so close…inside of me even. I kept running, and felt something disturbing. There was no more solid ground, and I soon felt wind going upwards against me. …I was falling.

I looked up, nothing but black, I looked down, nothing but black. I couldn’t see if I was gonna land on something, if anything. I saw my tears fly upwards, I was speeding up. The air around me began making disturbing whispering noises, and my tears slowly turned red. I was crying blood now. I screamed, finally, reaching my hands forward in a desperate attempt to grab onto something. And then I felt that the ground was near, I sensed impending death, my bones being crushed, my head splattering open. CRUNCH.

I woke up in a cold sweat, screaming aloud. I looked around my room, thank goodness I wasn’t surrounded in darkness. I whipped my head over to look at the door and I rushed to it. I ran into Red’s room in a panic, clinging to her. I was still terrified, who wouldn’t be? She looked at me drowsily, she was curled up in her crimson bed that matched her fur. Her entire room was a mix of red, crimson, and black. I snuggled under her arm and whimpered, and Red didn’t say a word. She just looked at me confused and seemed to be out of it a bit. “Taila, I may be a vampire but I’m still half mortal… I need to sleep…”

“Red…I can’t sleep, I had a nightmare…” I whimpered. Red looked at me sleepily and sat up in bed, me still clinging to her arm. “What was it about…?” Red said, a bit cranky since I woke her up. “I don’t really wanna…oh fine… I was in my normal place, as usual, and then I opened this blood-covered door. When I walked in, I couldn’t see anything, it was too dark. And then I…saw Harmoni looking at me in pure fear…” I began, my voice cracking when I said “pure fear”, “And then she…started looking dead… Her eyes rolled to the back of her stupid little head and...she gave off this wonderful death rattle…” I didn’t really understand why I was getting so violent, but I was scaring myself. I had my hands in a strangling position, as if I were choking the life out of someone.

I stared at the hands for a bit, I suddenly felt intense fear, I kept imagining Harmoni’s neck in my hands, the girl struggling to breathe, her limbs giving up, her life draining. It felt so horribly good, I felt my hands shake, my eyes were watering, I felt the truth sink in. “I-I killed Harmoni…”
