I knew I just had to enter this contest - primarily so I could force myself to redraw one of my older more ambitious pictures! XD Yep, I'd probably never have done this normally so for that alone I'm happy.
The old "Escape from reality" picture really holds a special place with me~ It marks a time where I was just starting to understand textures, overlays and working without lineart.
It really reminds me of how far I've come.

I love this! My dad told me when I was a kid that the spot lights in the sky were people fishing for whales in space... So seeing this definitely brought back some good memories. Great job!!

Oh wow Snow! Such lovely improvements!!!The new one is more vivid and detailed. The ocean is one of my favorite parts. And the clouds! How did you make such awesome clouds? The whale looks spectacular by the way. He was a little hard to make out in the original. (sort of blended in with the sky) So wonderful Snow!

I was so proud of the waves, honestly I really just winged it. ;u;
In all honesty though I think the clouds are - ok - I could've done better. xD; I like the spirals I put in there though, but I LIKE SPIRALS ANYWAY SO THAT PROBABLY SHOULDN'T COUNT!! XD
