Description
Hello everyone,
here it is. My submission for the Space Out Challenge. And what would be a submission without a thorough description?
What do you imagine when you think of the phrase "space out"?
Many things. But mostly I imagine to lie down to rest, close your eyes and let your imagination be capable to do the impossible. Being able to fly into space at speeds even beyond that of light and letting yourself getting pulled by the stellar objects. And who knows, maybe I find out what is underneath of a gas giants cloud cover.
Are you an astronaut floating in deep space?
Hypothetically yes, I am an astronaut who is every single day traversing to the galactic center of our milky way.
Did you find aliens from another planet or distant stars waiting to be explored?
No, I did not, however I found spaceship debris hinting there was once an alien civilaztion. I wonder where they all go.
What sights do you imagine are in the depths of space?
Imagination. We humans tend to have plenty number of imagination. We know that the endless universe holds so many secrets and sights from our eyes away, that we need to use special tools to be able to witness the creation in that seemingly dark void. And if not tools, then we use what we call Artist's Impression. As I do now. My picture is telling the whole story. I imagine to see a lot of colorful clouds in the distance which the interstellar objects paint like an Artist in the sky. Endless beauty and divine sights, and objects clearly telling us who owns the big dark sky.
If it were possible, what interstellar place would you like to experience firsthand? A galaxy with picturesque stars? A distant planet? The inside of a black hole?
I always want to see what is in the very center of our milky way. Scientists explain our galaxy exists because of a certain star named Sagittarus A*, which allegedly is a super massive black hole. And if not a super massive black hole, I would love to see a Magnetar from up close, the strongest magnet in the universe. Both objects have one in common: They might be small, but they have powers beyond our comprehension.
How do you approach creating art you’ve never attempted before? Do you research thoroughly or dive right in and learn as you go?
I start to think what do I want to see? What is my body craving for? Then I begin first to make own ideas and imagination of the final product. As I start to create my artwork, I research at the same time about anything that is to research, like the blackhole. There were so many references and sources, I decided to combine it into something new, something literally deviating from the standard, even if it is just the finest detail. If I have the power to decide, why not combine advantages from both methods?
This artwork was completely done by myself. No single image or any copied object from the internet has been used. Except it is done with Affinity Photo and some professional brushes you can buy in their shop. Brushes are all licensed and upon purchase eligable to be used commercially. Therefore no artwork infringement has been commited
Affinity Photo and the brushes are all developed by Serif Europe Ltd. and the Affinity Team
